The Cattery

A real Persian.

A Persian Wannabe.

Lining up to get out the door is Tisha, Tucker and Shadow.

Tucker joins the outdoor lineup of Tisha, Shadow and Parsley

Gus:  Is willing to answer to "Gus", "Gus Gus", "Gustopher" or "Gustoff".  Gus was a stray that wandered onto our property, quickly made use of his un-neutered state and impregnating every cat we had waiting for a spay.

Orange Ruffie:  Fondly referred to as "Ruffie Ruff Ruff, Ruffie was formally named "Orange Ruffie" by my husband, the fisherman.  Ruffie is the result of an over attentive 3 year old stray (Gus) and TJ, who was scheduled for a spay.

Sue: Named "Pseudo" because she looks so much like our other cat, Nipper, she's now called "Sue", "Sue Sue" or "Suzie".  Her mom is Tickle and her Dad and Grandfather is Gus.
Tisha:  Tisha began her life in a funeral parlor near Chicago.  Her name is short for Mortisha (Adams Family).  Her call name varies from "Tisha" to "Tisha Louise" to "Tisha Marie".  She is my last surviving kitty from my single days.  She is TJ's mom and Gus' ex-lover.  She used to be my cuddle kitty, but has become much more of a loaner.
Runt Boy: Our oldest kitty.  Runt Boy traveled in with John from Florida.  He hasn't been feeling well lately, so we're crossing our fingers for more happy days ahead.
Buster:
Pug: This cat is what the originator of the phrase 'butt ugly' had in mind.  Pug is short for "Pretty Ugly Girl".  Pug was a stray picked up by my sister, Francie.  In fact, we were going to call her "Francie's Ugly Cat", but once you stand out on your back porch calling for "Fuc", you don't do it again.  She is a pure bred Persian, most probably inbred x 5.  Look to the right to see what a Persian is supposed to look like.
Idgit: Idgit is just about 13.  She was part of the dowry John brought with him into our marriage.  She's very sweet and extremely shy.  She's only allowed me near her for about 4 months now.  She is a very thin cat.
Sage: AKA "Sagie".  Sage is a product of a union between brother and sister, "Nip and Tuck".  Individually, his parents are known as Nipper and Tucker.  Unfortunately, Nipper passed after being hit by a car.
Tickle:  Tickle looks a lot like her mom, TJ.  She also looks a lot like her grandmother, Tisha.  She is the sweetest of our Tigers and one of my favorite kitties.  This picture was taken on one of her good days.  She played with the scratch post until she broke it, and then passed out.
Shadow:  Crowned "Shadow Dancer" at birth, he quickly retained the call name of "Shadow".  He is our Halloween cat - all black.  He's also our sticker cat.  His hair is very think and very fine, making him a fantastic sticker and bur collector.  If there's a thistle bush out there, he'll find it.
Tucker: Proud papa of Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.  We adopted Tucker and his sister together, naming them Nip and Tuck.  Being brother and sister didn't stop them from socializing in a more intimate matter.
Demon:
Parsley:  Ist born from Nipper's litter.  Parsley is somewhat of a runt.  He is short and stocky.  He gets along with just about all the other cats and had a tendency to 'blend into the crowd'.
TJ:

Every cat we own has been spayed or neutered (albeit some were not caught in time to prevent the preventable).  They are all caught up on their shots and are wormed on a regular basis.  Any cats born into our family live with us, thereby giving other lost kitties a chance to find a home.

Please be a responsible pet owner.  And if you can, give a stray a home.
